• Minimize bruising by avoiding aspirin, ibuprofen/NSAIDs, fish oil, vitamin E, alcohol and blood thinning agents
• Try to arrive to your appointment with clean skin and no makeup if possible
• Inform your provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a neuromuscular disorder, or have had recent treatments to the injection sites

• Remain with your head upright for the first four hours and avoid lying flat
• Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas
• Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, excessive heat exposure, and/or hot steamy showers for the first 24 hours
• Avoid makeup for 24 hours and keep the injection sites clean

These side effects are temporary and can take up to two weeks to subside

• Mild redness
• Small bumps or swelling at injection sites
• Bruising
• Temporary headache

• Difficulty swallowing or breathing
• Vision changes
• Severe eyelid drooping
• Allergic reaction

Because it can take up to 2 weeks for your neurotoxin results to fully settle, we recommend waiting the full 14 days before evaluating your final results. If needed, a follow-up appointment can be scheduled after two weeks to assess your outcome.
