Sermorelin

Growth Hormone Support

Sermorelin is a synthetic version of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), the signal your body uses to tell the pituitary gland to release its own growth hormone. It was the active ingredient in Geref, a medication approved by the FDA in 1997. At It’s A Secret Med Spa, sermorelin is prescribed by a licensed provider as part of a supervised wellness plan and prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy.

Sermorelin peptide therapy at It's A Secret Med Spa

What Is Sermorelin?

Sermorelin is a 29-amino-acid peptide that matches the active portion of your body’s natural growth hormone-releasing hormone. Rather than adding growth hormone from the outside, it prompts the pituitary gland to release growth hormone in its own natural pulses, which keeps the body’s normal feedback controls in place. It is given as a small injection under the skin, typically in the evening, and is used under provider supervision in adults.

Sermorelin (Synthetic GHRH)

Function: Mimics growth hormone-releasing hormone to stimulate the pituitary gland’s own growth hormone release.

Benefit: Works with your body’s natural rhythm rather than replacing it. Growth hormone levels remain subject to your body’s normal feedback controls.

How It Is Used

Function: Prescribed by a licensed provider after a consultation and a review of your health history. Dosing is individualized.

Benefit: Ongoing provider monitoring, with follow-up visits to review how you are responding and adjust your plan.

Why Sermorelin?

Patients and providers often choose sermorelin because it:

  • Supports the body’s own growth hormone production instead of replacing it

  • Has a long history of clinical use as the active ingredient of a previously FDA-approved medication
  • Is prescribed and monitored by a licensed provider
