The Benefits of Lip Fillers

Cupid’s bow: Accentuating the shape of the Cupid’s bow with a small amount of dermal filler adds balance to the upper lip and draws attention to the midsection of the lips, creating a more youthful appearance.

Center fullness: As people age, lips lose volume and become thinner. Lip filler treatment helps restore fullness to thin lips for natural-looking results.

Profile projection: Lip injections can help enhance the side profile by adding volume to the lips. To achieve balance and perfect profile projection, our clients also opt to have dermal filler cosmetic procedures in other parts of the face, such as the chin or cheeks.

Side-to-side symmetry: Facial asymmetry can be caused by several factors, including genetics, aging and muscle weakness. Juvederm® lip filler injected is an excellent way to restore symmetry to asymmetrical lips. This type of lip augmentation is for minor adjustments to the shape of the lips by adding the right amount of filler where needed.

Minimal side effects: Most dermal filler injections contain hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in the skin. Injecting hyaluronic acid fillers into the lips is considered a minimally invasive procedure, lowering the risk for side effects or complications even more.

Long-lasting: Lip filler injections yield long-lasting results, keeping lips looking plump or symmetrical for up to a year or longer.

Boosting confidence: Lip enhancement through injectable fillers can help improve self-esteem, body image and confidence.

how it works

Lip filler, a cosmetic treatment that uses hyaluronic acid to add volume and definition to your smile, is an injectable gel made from naturally occurring substances in the body. It’s injected into the lips to increase the volume and is ideal for clients who desire plump lips or want to balance their lips and fix asymmetry issues.

How Long Do Lip Fillers Take to Get?

The entire procedure for lip filler treatment may last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. First, a topical anesthetic is applied to the lips. Within 15 to 30 minutes, the lips should be numb enough to continue the procedure. The injections take 15-30 minutes or longer, depending on the desired outcome.

What Is the Recovery Time for Lip Filler Injections?

The recovery time for lip filler can vary depending on several factors, including the type of product used, the volume of product injected and the individual’s overall health.

In general, most people can return to their normal activities immediately after lip injections. However, there may be some swelling, redness and tenderness in the treatment area that can last for a few days.

When Will I See Lip Fillers Results?

Typically, the effects of lip filler injections are noticeable immediately. Our clients may also notice some swelling following the procedure, but that’s common with most injectable fillers. The swelling should start to go down within a couple of days and subside entirely in 2 to 4 weeks, revealing the final lip augmentation results.

What to expect after lip filler?

Swelling and bruising are expected and should resolve within 2 weeks, but diligently following pre- and post-care instructions can significantly impact the amount of bruising and swelling. It’s important to note that each person is different, and side effects will vary.

As lip filler treatment is minimally invasive, most patients experience few side effects and minimal downtime. We’d be happy to address any concerns that may arise before or after a procedure.
